continue to see that. thank you. >> the obama administration said it has met it's deadline to fix the healthcare.gov website. the administration promised all would be well in november. we will gather to the white house with more details, mike, this was a big deadline for the administration. are all the problems with the website solved? >> reporter: they aren't all solved but they say its like night and day after that disastrous launch of octobe october 1st. they cite certain benchmarks, certain metrics, error rates down to 1%. they were 6% at the outset of this debacle in the estimation of administration officials. as many as 800,000 a day and they achieved 90% functionality. you recall that by the end of last month, november 31st they had promised an 80% functionality. by their own estimation they have exceeded that. but that's by their own estimation. for the time being we'll have to take their word for it. it's all a anecdotal at this point. there are questions about the website's security when people are entering sensitive personal information and data, and about insurers on the b

. >> thank you. >> in other news, the obama administration says the health insurance website has vastly improved. the administration has spent two months fixing the glitches in the health care reform law. mike viqueria, are all the problems fixed? >> well, not all the problems are fixed but the white house spokesman just moments ago jay carney speaking for the president believes that the website has significantly improved and they have met their threshold for the vast majority of citizens who sign on. 90% will have a successful experience and will be able to enroll through the website. night and day is how the top official that the president put in charge of having this website up and functioning by november 30th, last saturday, says the difference is between october 1st, and the end of november. the problem is, that it's two months, two months that were virtually lost where people could not enroll on the website and now it's crunch time. some of the other metrics they put out, the error rate is less than 1%, when earlier i.t. was 6%, other websites is 1/10 of 1%, or more than that. 80,

sun shall never set on so glorious a human achievement. god bless africa. thank you. nelson mandela dead at 95. >> let's get to the white house, mike viqueira is the white house correspondent and he has reaction from president obama to the death of nelson mandela. mike? >> about 50 minutes ago president obama came into the james brady briefing room. no secret to the fact that nelson mandela was an inspiration to the president. he told how he was not involved or interested in politics. at a student in the late "70s, early '80s, he was involved and inspired in the antiapartheid and divestiture movement. he met one time in 2006. he had visited in 2005. he had visited south africa and robin island in 2006. and the president was just in south africa over the summer, in june with his family, didn't have an opportunity to meet with nelson mandela because of health reasons. the president said he cannot fully imagine my life - his life - without the example nelson mandela set. for long as i live i will do what i can to learn from him. let's listen to more of what the president had to say. >>
